Concordia University announced Tuesday, that Stephan Mandel will become the next Chancellor.
He’ll be taking over for former chief justice of Alberta’s Court of Queen’s Bench, Allan Wachowich, who was appointed to the chancellor position in 2013.
Concordia and its President, Tim Loreman are very please and look forward to having Mandel on board come fall.
“Stephen Mandel has served the Edmonton community well for many years in a number of roles and we have no doubt that he will provide invaluable support,”
He then moved on to work with Jim Prentice, as Minister of Health and he looks forward to adding this position to his illustrious career.
“This is a place where a multitude of young people come to learn, they build a future, some build in Edmonton, some build it in other places. I think allowing this place to grown in a way that going to allow it to be the dream that people thought it could be, is going to be very special, and just being a part of that is going to be fun”
Stephen Mandel will take his place as Chancellor of Concordia University this fall.
