NOTE: Hear this set to music at 8:12 am and 5:11 pm on 630 CHED.
The month of November has taken its leave,
Sandra Janzen did what we could not conceive,
Lack of respect was her pet peeve.
We got the pipeline approvals.
Leonard Cohen’s death left some forlorn,
The Brady Bunch has cause to mourn,
Gail Hall’s apron would cease to be worn,
And a fighter-jet pilot is gone.
Do Westmount children make too much noise?
Serenity, at 4, needs no more toys,
Donald Trump’s win, the left annoys,
Did you see the pride flag at the Leg?
Beavers chewing river trees,
Could the carbon tax help with school fees?
A billion for coal companies.
No stone left alone.
No marijuana stores near any schools.
Deregulated power a misrule?
Black Friday sales made some drool.
A billion to fix up the Yellowhead.
Did MST affect your sleep?
Sexual assaults by military creeps.
Does the CNRL oilfield still seep?
And that’s what happened in November.
Let me know what you remember most.
I’m Bob Layton
