The mayor is ecstatic this morning with news that both the federal and provincial governments are cracking open their purses. The province is chipping in to rebuild the Yellowhead, which means the feds will now lend support for a total of $1 billion over the next 10 years of construction. The federal government is not being specific, but will contribute to infrastructure. The Valley LRT to west Edmonton was mentioned by name and the mayor thinks this may also bode will for rail crossing fixes at 75th and 50th streets. What should the priority be in upgrading our infrastructure, these projects or perhaps a completely different one?
