It must be wonderful to live in the United States, where almost anyone can grow up to be president.
There are some skills you require, aside from good economic and foreign policy thinking, like being able to keep a straight face while you spin a story you hope will be difficult for the fact-checkers to find.
You have to be able to accuse an interviewer of being unfair.
You need a good stable of spin-doctors, so your words can be re-mixed to keep yourself in the best possible light.
You’ll need to be able to convince people you did not notice the letter C which meant classified on the emails you were careless with.
You’ll need to be able to throw out racist or sexist slurs and then claim it was satire.
You’ll have to be able to claim you were under sniper fire in Bosnia, but when the video shows a calm day, you’ll need a good vocabulary, so you can insert a word like “misspoke” when you really meant “lied.”
I watched most of the vice-presidential debate. They had their boss’s talking points, but not their passion.
Clinton will be president, unless something like Wikileaks shuts her down.
Let me know what you think.
