The Winnipeg Jets went 4/5 on the power play on the way to beating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 Friday night.
The Oilers have allowed six power play goals against over the last two games.
Adam Lowry and Joel Armia paced the Jets to a 2-0 lead after the first period. Tobias Enstrom made it 3-0 early in the second. Oscar Klefbom took advantage of a Jets turnover to get the Oilers on the board at 15:40 of the period.
Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor added insurance for the Jets in the third. Connor’s goal was their only not scored on the power play.
Cam Talbot took the loss in net, allowing five goals on 21 shots.
The Oilers are now 2-2 in the pre-season. They’ll play the L.A. Kings in Vernon, B.C., on Sunday. (jrw)
