Canada is making ready for our 150th birthday next year, and Edmonton wants to do something to both improve the quality of life here in the city that also celebrates the milestone.
Jodi Goebel is the Chair of City of Edmonton’s Canada 150 Legacy Subcommittee, and she says the idea could be something like a capital project, or a cultural legacy project, but that’s not the only kinds of project ideas they’re looking for.
“Personally speaking, I’m pretty excited about the idea of some social legacy project ideas. So, what is it that is going to help us educate and inspire a new generation to make social progress toward the city we want to be and the country that we want to be.”
You’ll have to get pen to paper quickly if you’d like your idea considered. The deadline for submission is October 17th. Click right here to learn more about getting your idea in front of the committee. (mw/kb)
