The Edmonton Eskimos, Goodwill Industries of Alberta, and Corus Edmonton are having a special clothing drive Friday to help fund job training for disabled adults.
You can bring donations to the radio station at 5204 84 Street in Edmonton on Friday morning between 5:30 and 9 AM. Or – you can bring your donations to the stadium when you head to the Edmonton Eskimos – BC Lions football game Friday night!
The CISN Scheetz Kool Bus will be in the parking lot at the radio station, before being moved to the stadium later in the day.
Goodwill Industries of Alberta President and CEO Dale Monaghan says the training at Goodwill gives many Albertans with disabilities job chances they might not get otherwise. “Into area museums, and tourism destination locations. It ranges from careers and job opportunities in the hospitality sector to food and beverage and across to retail. We have placements in car dealerships, opportunities for persons with disabilities to learn sales and work in the service part of the auto dealerships as well.”
There will be donation bins at four points around the Stadium. (eb)
