Nominations are open for the 2017 inductees to the Alberta Business Hall of Fame.
Every year since 1980, Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories has inducted several candidates who’ve made outstanding contributions to the province.
The group’s President and CEO, Jen Panteluk, explains the kinds of qualifications they look for in members of the Hall of Fame.
“With our nominations, we look at four things; we look at vision, leadership, impact, civic leadership and our role models for community,” says Panteluk. “So, they’ve impacted our local community, as well as Alberta, maybe even nationally.”
“Community stewardship is a big part of our selection as well,” she adds.
Past inductees include big names such as Stanley Milner, Dr. Francis Winspear, Robert Stollery, Lois Hole and JR Shaw. Nominations are open until the end of November. (scb, kb)
