Back to back overtime losses have put the Eskimos in a hole in the CFL standings. After falling in OT to Calgary last week, the Eskimos closed out their Mosaic Stadium run with a 26-23 overtime loss.
Darian Durant ran the ball in for the winning points in overtime from the six yard line to end the Riders 7 game slide with just their 2nd win of the year. Saskatchewan forced overtime with a late TD from Armanti Edwards with 2:29 left. That tied the game at 20.
Nate Coehoorn had the Eskimos only TD while Sean Whyte went 5 for 5 in field goals. The offence created 428 yards, but could not finish they had one trip to the red zone, got inside the five, but settled for a field goal. The Eskimos also turned over the ball twice, once for a Saskatchewan defensive touchdown and Mike Reilly threw an interception late in the fourth quarter.
