A man who is currently in custody at the Edmonton Remand Centre on one matter, has now been charged with murder in another.
Dakota Kashtin Cappo, who is 23, is accused of setting an early morning apartment fire in the area of 115th Street and 107th Avenue, which caused the death of Gregory Alan Fenton, who was 54.
It took place last year, on the 29th of November, with homicide and arson detectives zeroing in on Cappo after a nine-month investigation.
He’s been charged with first-degree murder and arson with disregard for human life.
There’s no word on a possible motive, with police saying the accused and the deceased were not known to each other. (td)
