The Eskimos face a tough task in front of the them Saturday on The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. After losing 45-24 to the Calgary Stampeders on Labour Day the Eskimos face their provincial rivals once again in the Labour Day Rematch game.
The Stampeders are 8-1-1 and in first place in the Western Division and have the best record in the CFL. The Eskimos are 5-5 and in the crossover position in the Eastern Division. To win the Eskimos will have stay disciplined in the area of execution and penalties, taking better care of the football, and capitalizing on their chances when they arise.
The Eskimos will have newly signed Philip Hunt in their lineup. Hunt was signed on Tuesday and will start his first CFL game in six years after spending five seasons in the NFL. Hunt recorded 16 sacks and was named a CFL All-Star in 2010 while playing for the Winnipeg Bombers.
The Calgary Stampeders have won seven straight games and haven’t lost since week one of the season. They have the chance to sweep the Labour Day series for the fourth time in the last five years.
Kick-off for the Labour Day Rematch Saturday is 5pm from The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. 630 CHED will have the pre-game show at 3:30pm.
