Canada has added another bronze medal to its collection at the Summer Olympics in Rio.
The women’s 4×200-metre freestlye relay team took the bronze medal in Wednesday night’s final. The team is made up of Katherine Savard, Taylor Ruck, Brittany MacLean, and Penny Oleskiak.
Canada now has six medals (one silver, five bronze).
Also on Wednesday, Canadian swimmer Santo Condorelli just missed out on a medal in the men’s 100-metre freestyle final. Condorelli swam a personal best time but finished fourth, just .03 of a second out of third.
Meanwhile, the Canadian women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 68-58 win over Senegal. (bu/jrw)
