The Eskimos will try to break a three-game losing streak Thursday as they host the Montreal Alouettes. The team sits with a 2-4 record and have dealt with a short week of preparation after playing the Ottawa REDBLACKS last Saturday.
Head coach Jason Maas spoke Wednesday about how his team needs to more accountable when it comes to execution and discipline. Maas says his team handled the short week very well.
The Eskimos will get a lift to their offensive line as centre Justin Sorensen returns after missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. The return of Sorensen will shift Simeon Rottier from centre back to his usual spot at left guard.
Receiver Devon Bailey and linebacker Adam Konar will see their first action of the season. Bailey suffered a concussion early in training camp while Konar dealt with an injury before the start of the season.
Receivers Natey Adjei and Anthony Barrett move to the practice roster while offensive lineman Chris Greaves has been placed on the one-game injured list.
The Eskimos have released running back Joe McKnight and linebacker Joshua Brinkworth.
The Eskimos and Alouettes will play on The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium Thursday night.
Kick-off is at 7pm, 630 CHED will have the pre-game show at 5:30pm.
