Edmonton Fire Crews tackled a west end blaze that consumed an entire house, Sunday evening.
Six fire trucks and 24 firefighters were called out to an area near 202 St., and 100 A Ave., after neighbours reported seeing smoke in the area.
Edmonton Fire Rescue’s Sarah Meffen says no one was in the house and no one was hurt.
“It appears that it was an empty home, with no gas or power,” says Meffen. “We had the fire under control by 7:25 p.m., and we had the fire our by 9:21p.m. There were no injuries to our firefighters or anybody else. It didn’t effect any of the other buildings either.”
Investigations continue as there is currently no damage estimate or cause of the blaze. tl
