A 30 year old Edmonton man is facing charges after a woman says she was kidnapped on Monday night.
The 24 year old told police she had been lured to a home in south Edmonton where she says her ex-boyfriend, another man and a woman forced her back into her own vehicle and drove off. She says they brought her somewhere isolated, and threatened her with physical harm if she didn’t pay back money she owed to one of them.
She says they then drove to a restaurant parking lot in Leduc, where she managed to call police. When RCMP officers got there, she was freed, and one man was arrested. She says the two others got away.
Gregory Zinck, 30, is charged with kidnapping, unlawful confinement, theft of a motor vehicle, and two counts of failing to comply with probation. (eb)
