Ten people were hospitalized over the long weekend after an electronic music festival in Calgary.
A Calgary EMS spokesperson says the patients were attendees at the Chasing Summer music festival at Max Bell Centre and were all treated for drug or alcohol related issues. The patients ranged in age from the 20s to 30s and were all transported to a hospital in stable, but non-life threatening condition.
Prior to the event, Calgary police issued a warning about the dangers or drug use at summer festivals.
Last year, 17 people were taken to hospital because of similar issues at the same event and ten the previous year. (djs)
