RCMP say there’s still a lot of investigating yet to be done, but police are laying charges in a deadly motorcycle crash from Sunday.
It happened on Highway 22 near Longview around 5:00pm. Police say it looks like an SUV was doing a U-turn across the highway when it was struck by a northbound motorcycle. The 54-year-year old rider died at Oilfields Hospital, while his 12-year-old passenger is in stable condition at Children’s Hospital.
Police say speed and driver error are factors. The driver of the SUV is a 39-year-old man from Washington state. He’s been charged with making an unsafe U-Turn. He has minor injuries, as do three other people riding with him. (ms)
