RCMP in Blackfalds won’t remember this Canada Day with too much fondness after having to deliver terrible news to two Alberta families.
An 18-year-old Provost man, and a 16-year-old girl from Springbrook were both killed on Friday when they were thrown clear of a single-vehicle-crash.
It happened on Highway 525 east of Red Deer, and three other people were hurt: two occupants also ejected are in Red Deer hospital with serious injuries, while a third person was treated and released.
Mounties are trying to figure out what caused the collision. No names are being released. (ms)
