A new survey shows Generation Z may have a different look at life than it’s predecessors.
Ernst & Young retail and consumer products sector leader Daniel Baer carried out the survey and on the Alberta Morning News he said Generation Z is acting a lot differently than millennials and baby boomers.
“They’re much more connected, they want authenticity, they want experiences, and they don’t necessarily want products, so their buying habitys are qutie different,” said Baer.
He says their spendings habits are also different.
“You’re going to need good experiences, good apps, good technology, be socially conscious, have a good strong brand name and be able to basically attract the attention of these millennials in a very short period of time because their attention spans are also not that long.”
Baer believes Generation Z children grew up a lot differently than others.
“I think what makes this generation maybe a little bit different is they grew up kind of in a post 9/11 era. They grew up with technology and technology first and the way they interact,t he way they communicate, the way they get information.”
According to Baer, people in Generation Z were born after 1997. (djs)
