The 2015 disappearance of an Edmonton man is now officially being called a homicide.
EPS is reporting an American man, currently in custody in the United States, is facing extradition on a first degree murder charge, in the death of Dwayne Demkiw.
Demkiw was last seen leaving his workplace in the area of 149 Street and 128 Avenue at around 4:00 AM, on May 31 of 2015. Later that morning, his vehicle was found abandoned and on fire in Calgary. His remains turned up this year, on April 5, near Innisfail.
American citizen Jason Steadman, 41, is currently incarcerated in Washington. (scb)
