A bill to change the wording in Canada’s national anthem passed in House of Commons by a vote of 225-74 on Wednesday.

Bill C-210, introduced by Liberal MP Mauril Belanger, would change the line “in all thy sons command” to `in all of us command.”
However, the motion still needs to be approved by the Senate before it becomes law.
Belanger received a standing ovation in the House Wednesday afternoon. He’s been fighting to make the change to a gender-neutral anthem for years, but since he was diagnosed with ALS, the bill has seen more urgency. (km)
