Did I really hear the news announcer say there were 50 dead in Orlando?
I thought I could not have heard that right, it must have been 15. As horrible as that would be, it would be more believable, but no it was 50, and more than that, injured.
The parents of the suspected shooter say he was out with his wife and child and got very angry when he saw two men kissing.
That struck a chord with me.
I had several calls of concern blasting news outlets showing the first gay marriage kisses, over and over again.
They, too, were upset that their children had seen this, but they just wanted to register a complaint.
No one suggested violence.
During this past Pride Week, as expected, politicians of every stripe, here, offered support.
Immediately after the mass murders, as expected, American would-be presidents Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton used the massacre to promote their own causes.
He blamed Radical Islam.
She blamed guns.
What do you blame?
I saw a sign on the way to work today that said, something to the effect of, “I’m choosing love. Hate is too big a burden to bear.”
