Wood Buffalo is bracing for a wave of document requests for insurance claims in the wake of the wildfire that tore through parts of Fort McMurray.
In order to service these requests as quickly as possible and to make the process simple for residents the Regional Municipality has set up an online and e-mail request service that property owners can leverage to get the documents needed to complete their insurance claim.
If you need documents held by the municipality you can e-mail your request to: email@example.com
Alternately you can complete a request online at: www.rmwb.ca/property.info
The following documents, if applicable, can be expected in your property file:
– Real Property Reports
– Approved Building Plans
– Approved Development Permits
– Compliance or Land Use Memorandums
– Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Decisions
– Variance Approvals
The RM says that you can request e-mail copies to be sent to you, but if you need hard copies, you will have to pick them up at the municipal offices at Timberlea Landing: 309 Powder Drive. For more information you can call the PULSE line at 780-743-7000.
