It started with the ominous sound of thunder rolling around Edmonton and area skies, and developed into lightning strikes and rain bouncing of the sidewalks like millions of mini ping pong balls. After lightning hit a power pole in the west part of the city, Tim LeRiche with Epcor told Global News, that about 2,ooo people were left in the dark.
Global News also reporting Frontier Plumbing and Heating in Edmonton’s northwest was hit by lightning. One man inside heard the crash but was not hurt. (bl, global)
