Five days are complete at Eskimos training camp who held one session this morning at Commonwealth Stadium.
Tomorrow night the Eskimos will hold a mock game at Commonwealth which will mark the first significant moment in training camp for the veterans and hopefuls.
The mock game will not be close to the intensity of an actual game but the tempo will be higher than a normal practice.
The Eskimos will hold a walkthrough practice late in the morning meaning they will have close to 24 hours off between on-field session as week one of training camp winds down.
The tempo on both the offense and defense is getting faster after five days of training camp as both sides are learning new systems. For the offense the system being used by head coach Jason Maas isn’t vastly different from the one used in the previous two seasons but is at a higher temp. Reigning CFL Most Oustanding Rookie Derel Walker (1,110 yard receiving and six TD’s in 2015) says he’s enjoying the tempo.
Tomorrow mock game will run from 6pm to 8pm at Commonwealth Stadium and is open to the public. Fans are asked to enter the Stadium through Gate 2.
On Saturday the Eskimos will hold Fan Day at Clarke Stadium from 1pm to 4pm which will include a practice from 2pm to 3pm and an autograph session from 3pm to 4pm.
