Travis Vader will remain in custody over the weekend, after a decision wasn’t made in his bail hearing Friday.
There are no details on the hearing, which is not related to his murder trial, because the judge issued a publication ban.
As for the trial related to the murder charges he’s facing, Vader’s defence lawyer rested his case Friday morning and closing arguments are to be heard starting June 22.
Vader is facing two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Lyle and Marie McCann, a St. Albert couple that vanished in 2010. Their bodies have never been found. (kb)
