A 68-year-old man has been charged in connection to the fatal collision involving a cyclist over the long weekend.
On Friday, crews were called out to Highway 14 near Anthony Henday Drive.
The cyclist was trying to cross the highway when they were allegedly struck by an eastbound 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and died on scene.
Philip Norman Wasman, of Ryley Alberta, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and refusal to provide breath sample.
Wasman was uninjured, the cyclists’ name is not being released.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday. (km)
