The fire situation remains extreme in our province.

That’s up from just 741 hectares a day ago.
The wildfire just west of Janvier is estimated to be 146 hectares, but is being held.
Right now, just under 2,000 firefighters are battling the fires, along with 102 helicopters, 25 air tankers and 255 pieces of heavy equipment.
Fort McMurray, Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates, and the Fort McMurray and Fort McKay First Nations remain under a mandatory evacuation order.
But a phased re-entry plan has been established and will start on a neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood basis on June 1st. (km)
