Capital Line LRT service will be suspended between the Clareview and Churchill stations throughout the long weekend, so crews can work on a number of maintenance issues.
During that time the LRT will be replaced by bus service.
The trains will be running again by Tuesday.
Some of the things crews will be working on include, painting the roof of the Coliseum station, replacing wood railway ties with concrete ones and doing some wiring maintenance.
ETS says they pick long weekends to do extended maintenance, since there are normally fewer riders.
Because of the work there will also be a number of road and path closures:
– 66 Street between Fort road and 124 Avenue, (local access will be maintained)
-92 Street between 106A Avenue and 107 Avenue
– 95 Street reduced to one lane between 105 Avenue and 106 Avenue
-East sidewalk of 95 Street will be closed to pedestrians
-Shared use path that runs along the LRT between 76 Street and 66 Street
ETS says the closures will run until 5 AM on Tuesday morning. (km)
