Brian Mason announced the proposed legislation yesterday, with a clear aim at ride share companies. It goes from a civic to a provincial issue as the new legislation would require a class 4 license, a police check on drivers, proper insurance, and if not followed, the company, not the driver, could be subject to a fine of up to $50,000 per day. Uber says it will review the proposal and get back to us. Brian says he expects they will fall in line and call off their world wide gang of tweeters. Hmmm…let’s see if that army exists. Does this seem like reasonable legislation?
