Police say a man’s life may never been the same after he was hit by a van while sitting at a bus stop this past weekend.
It happened at 4:45pm Saturday, near 127 Street and 133A Avenue. Investigators say it appears a southbound van jumped the west curb, colliding with the 46-year-old.
He was rushed to hospital with what are described as “debilitating” injuries. Because of the seriousness of his condition, the EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit is handling the case.
The driver, a 40-year-old man, has not yet been charged. However, police say that alcohol and drugs may be contributing factors in the crash. They’re asking for the public to contact them with any tips about the case (780-423-4567). (ms)
