I was moved to hear the story about the 9 year old girl who got lost in the bush and spent the night near Frog Lake. Fortunately she walked out yesterday as search crews were about to restart. There was no frost bite, no worse for the wear. Her three dogs had cuddled next to her, protected her and kept her warm. Good dogs! It got me thinking about the University of Victoria dog psychologist (yes they exist) who insisted this week that dogs don’t like it when you hug them. It fills them with anxiety. I wonder if anyone would refute that?
