Music fans have waited for weeks – make that months – to hear who will be in concert at Rogers Place.
The first announced concert, made early Thursday morning, features Keith Urban.
CISN Country’s morning show host Chris Scheetz says, of course, this is major.
“It is an absolute huge deal. Keith Urban is one of Edmonton’s favourite artists. For Keith and Dallas Smith, who formerly was with the rock group Default, to be the two to kick off our very first country show at Rogers Place is going to be absolutely incredible.”
Scheetz is already counting down the weeks to when American Idol judge Keith Urban plays Edmonton’s new downtown arena.
“We’re going to get that first chance to see that first country act on Friday, Sept. 16 when Keith Urban is here with Dallas Smith. I think that the technology in Rogers Place, the sound, the visual effects and everything that goes along with that are going to take this show to the next level.”
Tickets for Keith Urban go on sale Friday, May 6 at 10 a.m. (rk, kdr)
