A little girl is thanking her three dogs for keeping her safe and warm while lost in a bush on the Frog Lake First Nation.
It was just after 11 p.m. last night when Elk Point RCMP were told that the 9-year old girl and the pets wandered away from the home a few hours earlier.
People living in the area were already looking for her when Mounties arrived at the home.
The girl eventually walked out of the bush at 7 a.m. this morning just as RCMP were preparing to expand their search on the ground and in the air.
RCMP say she avoided injury thanks to her dogs keeping her close company through the night. (bw)
