Pop superstar Prince has been found dead at his home in suburban Minnesota.
His publicist has confirmed the music icon was found Thursday. Prince had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several weeks leading up to his death.
The Minneapolis native broke through in the late 1970s with the hit-single ‘Wanna Be Your Lover.” He followed that up with other smash hits like “1999,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” “When Doves Cry,” “Little Red Corvette,” and “Purple Rain.”
He sold over 100-million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all-time. Prince captured one Academy Award, a Golden Globe and seven Grammy Awards throughout his career.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
