Edmonton police have released the identity of the victim of Edmonton’s 15th homicide of 2016.
34-year-old Kelly Thompson was found severely wounded in the area of 137 Street and 115 Avenue around 10:00pm on April 14. He was rushed to hospital where he died on April 16.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner determined he died of blunt force trauma.
Officers believe Thompson was beaten by a group of four or five men with baseball bats and then fled the area in a vehicle.
